DJ Rice - Trombone, described as an amalgamation of J.J. Johnson and Curtis Fuller, Dallas-based musician DJ Rice is an elite, award-winning jazz trombonist and composer. With the mentorship of Nick Finzer, Michael Dease, and Rich DeRosa, he creates opportunities for himself and consistently sets a high musical standard for those around him.
Fresh off of his set at the 2025 JEN Conference, DJ Rice returns to Steve’s Wine Bar with his quintet. He’ll be premiering new original music as well as performing compositions/arrangements by his favorite trombone players.Joining DJ for this evenings performance will be:
